I became a writer for the HCN's when I answered a request in said paper for church photos and articles. My submission was an opinion piece not at all what they wanted. This resulted in being asked to write on a regular basis almost a decade ago. I do no other writing at this time.
Attended and graduated from Wilfrid Laurier U., U. of T. and Thorneloe U. Attended over the years multiple seminars, workshops on listening, death and dying, pastoral counselling and dementia. I was accredited by the Ontario Multifaith Council. It was when I was a young mother, of two sons, I became interested in studying and reading theology. Now I am retired from a chaplaincy position in LTC in the Lambton County homes.
Life enhancement activities are reading, art and nature walking. Reading is focused on Christian topics, spirituality and mysteries. Art is in a variety of mediums but usually ends up intuitive and whimsical. Puzzles, too!
The people I adore the most are my husband (faithful proof-reader), two sons, a daughter my one son chose for us, a beautiful grandson.Tagging along is Miss Molly the cat.
My writing is like someone else's informal journalling. It is my hope that the thoughts in my column are kind, positive and loving.
