The Diocese of Huron is seeking an Accounting Clerk. The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for Accounts Payable and monthly payroll entry. Experience with ADP, and Accounting software would be beneficial in this role.

MAJOR DUTIES:
Gather and produce the necessary financial information in order to administer the disbursement, record keeping and reconciliation of monies for the Diocese. Process the monthly payroll through ADP.
a) Track changes and process pre-authorized payments; report donation totals monthly to individual parishes
b) Print and distribute monthly financial and apportionment reports
c) Maintain listing of accounts receivable
d) Calculate and post journal entries and assist in maintaining the general ledger
Payroll
a) Input and process central payroll service and Synod office payroll using ADP
b) Answer inquires about payroll and deductions
c) Year end reconciliations of statutory deduction amounts of payroll register to general ledger. Annually issue T4's
Records
Annually, sort through files and boxes of financial records, and handle according to records retention policy--either keeping, shredding, or sending to Archives as appropriate.
Provisal
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance including possible projects. As part of the finance team, provides back up and support to other accounting functions as needed.
