Organist/Choir Director at Grace Anglican Church - Brantford

Grace Anglican Church Brantford, Ontario seeks an Organist/Choir Director. The position involves planning and leading organ music for worship; playing the organ and piano for the 10:30 a.m. Sunday Service (10 am in the summer) and for other celebrations and feast days including Christmas Eve and Holy Week (some evening services); and accompany the choir for Thursday evening rehearsals.

Grace's music ministry has a long tradition of organ and choral music; we also enjoy congregational singing.  The parish has a large 1907 three manual five division Casavant organ and a Steinway Grand piano. Our congregation generally prefers traditional music but certainly welcomes contemporary music as well.

This is salaried part-time (11 to 12 hours per week & 4 weeks holidays) plus extra pay for funerals and weddings under the supervision of the Rector.  Please send your resume with a cover letter and salary expectations to Canon Dr. Stephen Hendry (stephenhendry@diohuron.org)
