  4. The Essex Deanery Lay Leadership Training Classes:  Lay leadership courses for 2024.  
    These classes will be held in person at Canterbury CollegeClasses are from 10:00 am - 2:30pm with 30 minutes for lunch.

    Al-Ahli Anglican Episcopal Hospital is the oldest hospital in Gaza, founded in 1882 by the Church of England. It receives no funding whatsoever by Hamas (contrary to some reports). PWRDF has transferred the initial $30,000 We have supported this hospital for years as a partner, and are actively accepting donations for Al-Ahli Arab Hospital through the PWRDF Gaza Hospital Appeal.
    How you can help: To support the al-Ahli Arab Hospital during this time of crisis, please donate online to our Gaza Hospital Emergency Appeal. You can also donate by phone at 416-822-9083 (or leave a message toll-free at 1-866-308-7973 and we will return your call) or by mail.   4. NOT YOUR USUAL BOOK STUDY! 
    When was the last time you flipped through the Book of Alternative Services? Have you ever? There is much between the covers of the text that you might not even realize. Intended for laity, this series of 6, 1-hour sessions will provide an overview of the service book and allow an opportunity to ask questions and gain a better understanding of the prayers and liturgy of the church that many of us are using every week.

    SideWalk Community Centre, an initiative of All Saints Anglican Church Waterloo, is hosting its first golf tournament on September 9, 2024 at the Foxwood Golf and Country Club.
    All proceeds will go to the SideWalk Community Centre, its programs and needed equipment. All are Welcome.

  7. Upcoming Fall Session at St. George’s Anglican Church, London: THE LEGACY OF ANGLICANISM - DIFFICULT, DELIGHTFUL, DEEP
    Our Parish Theologian, The Rev'd Canon Dr. Timothy Connor, will be leading a three-part series beginning this Fall, The Legacy of Anglicanism - Difficult, Delightful, Deep. 
    The first part of the series 'The Difficult Legacy' begins on Wednesday, October 16 (in late Pentecost) and will continue for three successive Wednesday evenings, ending on November 6.  The sessions will run from 7:00 - 8:45 pm.
    Part two of the series, 'The Delightful Legacy' will begin in January 2025, with part three, 'The Deep Legacy' beginning in October 2025.

  9. EVENTS AT ST. PAUL’S ANGLICAN CHURCH, PORT DOVER:
    At St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Port Dover the Corporate Men’s Breakfast group will be serving breakfast at 9:00 a.m., for parishioners and guests, on the first Saturday of each month. On the last Sunday of each month, after the 10:00 a.m. service they will prepare lunch for parishioners and their invited guests. Everyone is welcome, and the meals are complimentary. These meals will be served each month except in July and August.

  10. St. George's London. The Choral Evensong services.
    We will break for July and August and then resume again in September.  
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES:
  • All Saints' Anglican Church in Waterloo is seeking an Office Administrator (Part-time position).
    The primary purpose of the Office Administrator is to support the church
    office and SideWalk Community Centre
     in running effectively by keeping the
    congregation and community aware of services and activities and assist the Rector, Churchwardens, other clergy, and staff in the parish administration.
    Compensation package: $20 per hour.
    Hours: Monday-Thursday 9:00 am – 1:00 pm or as negotiated with a start date of August 19, 2024. Interviews will take place in July 2024.

  • Trinity Anglican Church in Cottam, is searching for a friendly, reliable and motivated Children/Youth coordinator.
    In this position, you will be responsible for a range of duties including developing lesson plans, assigning homework, responding to issues, and addressing children/youth needs.
    Employment requirements:
    - High school diploma or equivalent qualifications.
    - A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role (if possible).
    - Proven experience as an educator is advantageous (if possible).
    - Becoming an active Church member.
    - Good understanding of planning and developing lesson plans.
    - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    - Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and other social media.
