TURNING TO GRACE: OUR DIOCESAN PLAN (in the works)

Entitled TURNING TO GRACE,  our Diocesan Plan Proposal continues the overall direction set by a series of Bishop’s Charges given by Bishop Todd to Huron Synod through 2020-2023. It is also influenced by the Five Marks of Mission and the Lambeth Calls which came from the 2022 Lambeth Conference.

The Plan was developed during our Bishop’s sabbatical leave and initial drafts were reviewed by all of the archdeacons in March and April. Archdeacons Tanya Phibbs and Stephen McClatchie then facilitated meetings with groups of clergy and laity across the Diocese. This consultation process has continued through mid-June and was open to everyone. Your feedback had been evaluated with care and consideration, and then presented to our Diocesan Council during the draft discussions on June 7.

Over the summer the plan has been shaped to its final form. We are currently formatting it for access in both electronic and print formats. It will also be accompanied with a condensed version. The October Diocesan Council will meet for its approval and hopefully send it to the October Synod for endorsement.

We thank you for being a part of this process!
