TURNING TO GRACE: DIOCESAN PLAN FOR 2024-2034 (draft)

We are excited to introduce you to the draft Diocesan Plan which defines our strategic directions for 2024-2034, and to ask you to help us shape it to its final form.

OUR DIOCESAN PLAN (DRAFT)

Entitled TURNING TO GRACE,  this draft continues the overall direction set by a series of Bishop’s Charges given by Bishop Todd to Huron Synod through 2020-2023. It is also influenced by the Five Marks of Mission and the Lambeth Calls which came from the 2022 Lambeth Conference.

The Plan was developed during our Bishop’s sabbatical leave and initial drafts were reviewed by all of the archdeacons in March and April. Archdeacons Tanya Phibbs and Stephen McClatchie are now facilitating meetings with groups of clergy and laity across the Diocese. This consultation process will continue through mid-June. On June 7 our Diocesan Council will devote much of its meeting to a discussion of the draft.

Over the summer the plan will be produced in its final form, formatted for access in both electronic and print formats, and accompanied with a condensed version. Finally, the September Diocesan Council will meet for its approval and hopefully send it to the October Synod for endorsement.

We would like you to be a part of this process! We ask you to engage in discussions within your local community. You are encouraged to send us your feedback by using the form below:
