TURNING TO GRACE: DIOCESAN PLAN FOR 2024-2034 (draft)

We are excited to introduce you to the draft Diocesan Plan which defines our strategic directions for 2024-2034.

OUR DIOCESAN PLAN (DRAFT)

Entitled TURNING TO GRACE,  this draft continues the overall direction set by a series of Bishop’s Charges given by Bishop Todd to Huron Synod through 2020-2023. It is also influenced by the Five Marks of Mission and the Lambeth Calls which came from the 2022 Lambeth Conference.

The Plan was developed during our Bishop’s sabbatical leave and initial drafts were reviewed by all of the archdeacons in March and April. Archdeacons Tanya Phibbs and Stephen McClatchie then facilitated meetings with groups of clergy and laity across the Diocese. This consultation process has continued through mid-June and was open to everyone. Your feedback had been evaluated with care and consideration, and then presented to our Diocesan Council during the draft discussions on June 7.

Over the summer the plan will be produced in its final form, formatted for access in both electronic and print formats, and accompanied with a condensed version. Finally, the September Diocesan Council will meet for its approval and hopefully send it to the October Synod for endorsement.

We thank you for being a part of this process!
