RETIREMENT 

In consultation with Bishop Todd, owing to personal and family reasons, the  Venerable Sam Thomas has resigned his position as the Archdeacon of Western Huron, effective June 30, 2024. His last day will be May 31. 

We are grateful for Sam's many years of faithful service to the Diocese of Huron and, most recently, to the people of the London and Lambton Deaneries, and we wish him many years of healthy and happy retirement. Thank you Sam! 

APPOINTMENTS

Bishop Townshend appoints the Reverend Marty Keatings as the Rector (half-time) of the Parish of St. James, Ingersoll, effective June 1, 2024.

Bishop Todd Townshend appoints the Reverend Leah Arvidsson as Curate of the Parish of Long Point Bay, effective July 1, 2024.

INDUCTIONS

On behalf of Bishop Townshend, the Venerable Dr Stephen McClatchie will induct the Reverend Rob Luxton as the Rector of St. John the Divine, Arva, on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 4:00 p.m.

The preacher will be the Reverend Canon Christopher (“Kit”) Greaves (Diocese of Toronto). Clergy are invited to vest, the colour being green. All are invited to stay for a BBQ after the service.

On behalf of Bishop Townshend, the Venerable Dr Stephen McClatchie will induct the Reverend Enrique Martinez as the Rector of St. Andrew Memorial, London on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at 4:00 p.m.

The preacher will be the Reverend Paul Sherwood. Clergy are invited to vest, the colour being green. A light reception will follow the service.

ORDINATION

Bishop Townshend announces that the following will be called to the Presbyterate at a service of Ordination to be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, the Memorial of Boniface, Archbishop and Martyr, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s (Walkerville), Windsor.

Clergy are invited to vest, the colour being red.
