DECONSECRATION
Bishop Townshend will preside at a service of Deconsecration for St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, Stratford, at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, 26 February 2026. All are welcome to come to support the congregation. Clergy are invited to vest, the colour being violet.
At a Vestry meeting last fall, the parish of St. Stephen’s, Stratford, voted to disestablish and become part of the newly formed Stratford Anglican Ministry.
CLARIFICATION
The newly appointed Registrar, the Venerable Dr Stephen McClatchie, takes on that role in addition to his current responsibilities as Archdeacon, Episcopal Office.

Bishop Townshend encourages all female priests, deacons, licensed lay readers, and Church House staff to attend the gathering of women at the Church of St. Jude, London, on Wednesday, 25 March for the Installation of the first female Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend and Right Honourable Dame Sarah Mullally.
