  2. PWRDF HURON: HOLY LAND OUTREACH UPDATE
PWRDF Huron Chair Rev. Greg Jenkins replies to two most recent questions asked about donations to Gaza Hospital.

    READ MORE HERE
Al-Ahli Anglican Episcopal Hospital is the oldest hospital in Gaza, founded in 1882 by the Church of England. It receives no funding whatsoever by Hamas (contrary to some reports). PWRDF has transferred the initial $30,000 We have supported this hospital for years as a partner, and are actively accepting donations for Al-Ahli Arab Hospital through the PWRDF Gaza Hospital Appeal.
How you can help: To support the al-Ahli Arab Hospital during this time of crisis, please donate online to our Gaza Hospital Emergency Appeal. You can also donate by phone at 416-822-9083 (or leave a message toll-free at 1-866-308-7973 and we will return your call) or by mail. Send your cheque to PWRDF, 80 Hayden Street, 3rd Floor, Toronto, ON, Canada, M4Y 3G2. Please indicate “Gaza Hospital” in the memo field.

  3. As we all are busy in our Vestry preparations, I am sending this brief note to ask that all parishes include in their vestry proceedings, the appointment of a Parish Representative to the AFP.
For some, this appointment is already a regular part of the vestry agenda and for others it has been some time since such an appointment to the AFP was made. It is through representatives that AFP is able to support the development of prayer groups, retreats, quiet days and prayer conferences in your parish and in our diocese.  With support and training offered to AFP representatives in the form of literature on prayer, newsletters, and regularly connecting with others also involved in prayer in other parishes, prayer is encouraged in the life of the church, helping us all to develop in our life of prayer and in our relationship to God and to one another.
The name and contact information for any appointed as AFP representatives may be entered on the year end documentation sent into the Church House, or it may be sent to Libi Clifford, AFP Executive member directly at: AFPletspray@gmail.com
    Many thanks,
Rev’d Kimberly Myer, Anglican Fellowship of Prayer Huron Executive
