182nd Synod of the Diocese of Huron started on Sunday, May 15 with the opening service at St. Paul's Cathedral in London, Ontario.
It was the first time after three years - and two on-line synods - that the representatives from all 160 Huron congragetions had a chance to meet in person. Before the service, the traditional BBQ event was organized on the lawn of St. Paul's.
Huron Synod reconvenes on Monday at RBC Place in London. Those who are not comfortable attending a gathering of this size can participate virtually from their homes. This option will allow delegates not only to see and hear Synod but to vote and to speak too.
