London, ON — Camp Huron and the Anglican Foundation of Canada (AFC) are pleased to announce that the Anglican Church Women (ACW) of the Diocese of Huron will once again provide a $10,000 matching gift in support of Camp Huron’s Say Yes! to Kids campaign.
Camp Huron is the Diocese of Huron’s long-standing summer camp and youth ministry, serving children, youth, families, and communities across Southwestern Ontario since 1946.
Now in its third consecutive year, the matching gift represents a remarkable $30,000 investment from Huron ACW over three years in Camp Huron’s ministry to children and youth.
As Camp Huron celebrates its 80th summer in 2026, this year’s campaign is built around the theme Star Stuff, a reflection on the wonder, light, and potential present in every child.
The matching gift comes at an important moment for the campaign and is expected to help build momentum across the Diocese as churches, families, alumni, and supporters rally around one of Huron’s long-standing ministries to children and youth.
“Leadership gifts like this are incredibly important because they create confidence and enthusiasm,” says Rodger Moran, Camp Huron’s Manager of Advancement. “When people see faithful supporters stepping forward year after year, it tells them this ministry matters. It gives a campaign energy and credibility, and it inspires others to participate.”
Funds raised through the campaign will provide camp bursaries, helping more children and youth experience the belonging, confidence, joy, and community of Christian camp ministry.
The campaign is part of the Anglican Foundation of Canada’s national Say Yes! to Kids initiative, which supports programs and ministries serving children, youth, and young people across the Canadian church. Through this partnership, AFC provides campaign structure, resources, and national visibility that help strengthen local fundraising efforts for ministries like Camp Huron.
“Camp Huron has shaped generations of young people across Huron,” says Diane Dance, AFC’s Diocesan Representative for Huron. “The ACW’s continued generosity is a powerful witness to the Church’s commitment to children and youth. Their leadership helps make camp accessible to more families and encourages others to step forward in support.”
“There is something deeply hopeful about camp ministry,” says Moran. “Young people arrive carrying so much potential, and places like Camp Huron help nurture that light. This campaign is ultimately about making sure more children have the chance to experience belonging, joy, confidence, and community.”
