APPOINTMENTS

Bishop Townshend appoints the Reverend Sarah Armstrong and the Reverend Michael DeKay as Domestic Chaplains to the Bishop of Huron. They will share the role and serve alongside continuing Domestic Chaplain, the Reverend Pat Henderson.

Archdeacon Stephen McClatchie has concluded his ministry in this role.

INTERIM APPOINTMENTS

Bishop Townshend appoints the Very Reverend Paul Millward as the Interim Priest-in-Charge of Epiphany, Woodstock, from September 15th, 2023.

Bishop Townshend appoints the Reverend Amanda Longmoore as the Interim Regional Dean of Kent until June 30th, 2024. Amanda is the Regional Dean of Lambton and Rector of St. John-in-the-Wilderness, Bright's Grove.

NEW CANON

Bishop Townshend names the Reverend Dr Greg Jenkins a Canon of the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, with immediate effect.

Canon Greg served as the Archdeacon of Waterloo from August 2016 through September 2018 before taking a position in the Diocese of New Westminster. He returned to Huron last month as Rector of the Church of the Holy Saviour, Waterloo.

RESIGNATION

Bishop Townshend has accepted the resignation of the Reverend Andreas Thiel as Rector of St. Matthew’s, Windsor, effective 30 November 2023. His last day in the parish will be 16 November.

Andreas has accepted an appointment as Rector of the Parish of Salvage in the Central Diocese of Newfoundland, effective 1 December.

INDUCTIONS

On behalf of Bishop Townshend, the Venerable Megan Collings-Moore will induct the Reverend Paul Poolton as the Rector of Trinity, Cambridge, on October 15th at 3:00 p.m.

The preacher will be Cynthia Connell (Licensed Lay Reader and Lay Chaplain to Canterbury College). Clergy are invited to vest, the colour being green.

On behalf of Bishop Townshend, the Venerable Sam Thomas will induct the Reverend Sean Davidson as the Rector of Trinity, Sarnia, on October 15th at 7:00 p.m.

The preacher will be the Reverend Canon Dr Tim Conner and clergy are invited to vest, the colour being green.

On behalf of Bishop Townshend, the Venerable Megan Collings-Moore will induct the Reverend Dr Justin Comber as the Rector of St. George’s, Goderich, and Christ Church, Port Albert on Sunday October 1st at St. George’s, Goderich, at 4 p.m.

The preacher will be the Reverend Allie McDougall. Clergy are invited to vest, the colour being green.

On behalf of Bishop Townshend, the Venerable Jane Humphreys will induct the Reverend Ryan Boivin as the Rector of St. Mark’s-by-the-Lake, Tecumseh on Sunday, September 24th at 3:00 p.m.

The preacher will be the Reverend Robert Clifford. Clergy are invited to vest, the colour being green.
