APPOINTMENTS

Bishop Townshend appoints the Venerable Sam Thomas as the Interim Priest-in-charge of the Cathedral Church of St. Paul from December 1, 2023 through January 14, 2024.

The Right Reverend Robert Bennett will finish his interim ministry at St. Paul’s on November 30, 2023. 

Bishop Townshend appoints the Reverend Canon Dr. Kevin George as the Dean and Rector of the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, effective January 1, 2024.

Canon Kevin’s first day in the parish will be January 15, 2024.

ORDINATIONS

Bishop Townshend announces that the following will be called to the Presbyterate at a service of Ordination to be held on the Commemoration of St. Margaret, Queen of Scotland,  Thursday, November 16th, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. at the Parish Church of St. James’, Stratford.

Clergy are invited to vest, the colour being red.

  • The Rev’d Diana Boland, Assistant Curate to the Rector of St. James’, Stratford, St. Paul’s, Stratford, St. Stephen’s, Stratford, and St. James’, St. Marys, with primary responsibility for St. James’, St Marys.

  • The Rev’d Patrick Martin, Assistant Curate to the Rector of St. John’s, Tillsonburg

INDUCTIONS

On behalf of Bishop Townshend, the Venerable Megan Collings-Moore will induct the Reverend Paul Poolton as the Rector of Trinity, Cambridge, on October 15th at 3:00 p.m.

The preacher will be Cynthia Connell (Licensed Lay Reader and Lay Chaplain to Canterbury College). Clergy are invited to vest, the colour being green.

 

On behalf of Bishop Townshend, the Venerable Sam Thomas will induct the Reverend Sean Davidson as the Rector of Trinity, Sarnia, on October 15th at 7:00 p.m.

The preacher will be the Reverend Canon Dr. Tim Connor and clergy are invited to vest, the colour being green.

 

On behalf of Bishop Townshend, the Venerable Sam Thomas will induct the Reverend Michael Bruce as Rector of St. James Westminster, London, on the Eve of the Feast of St. James the Lesser, October 22nd at 7:00 p.m.

The preacher will be the Reverend Malcolm French (Diocese of Niagara) and the clergy are invited to vest, the colour being red.
