DECONSECRATIONS

Bishop Townshend will preside at a brief service of Deconsecration for St. Peter’s, Moraviantown at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, 15 June 2025. All are welcome to come to support the congregation. Owing to the condition of the building, the service will be outdoors. 

INDUCTIONS

On behalf of Bishop Townshend, the Venerable Rob Lemon will induct the Reverend Rambie Bernardino as the Rector of St. James, Cambridge, on Sunday, 15 June at 4:00 p.m.

 

The preacher will be the Reverend Marty Levesque. Clergy are invited to vest, the colour being white. A reception will follow the service.

APOINTMENTS

Bishop Townshend appoints the Reverend Paul Poolton as Regional Dean of Waterloo, effective 1 September 2025. Paul is the Rector of Trinity, Cambridge.

Bishop Townshend appoints the Venerable Janet Griffith-Clarke as the Administrator of St. Thomas, St. Thomas, effective 16 June 2025. 

GENERAL SYNOD 2025

All are invited to attend the public worship services marking the opening and the closing of the meeting of the General Synod of the Anglican Church of Canada, 23-29 June 2025.

Opening Service at St. Paul’s Cathedral on Monday, 23 June, at 7:30 p.m. The preacher will be the Most Reverend Michael Curry, Former Presiding Bishop and Primate of The Episcopal Church;

Closing Service and Installation of the New Primate at St Paul’s Cathedral on Sunday, 29 June, at 4:30 p.m. The preacher will be the Most Rev. Marinez Bassotto, Bishop of Amazonia and Primate of Brazil.
