  3. PWRDF HURON: GAZA HOSPITAL APPEAL.
    Al-Ahli Anglican Episcopal Hospital is the oldest hospital in Gaza, founded in 1882 by the Church of England. It receives no funding whatsoever by Hamas (contrary to some reports). 
    PWRDF has transferred the initial $30,000 We have supported this hospital for years as a partner, and are actively accepting donations for Al-Ahli Arab Hospital through the PWRDF Gaza Hospital Appeal.
    How you can help: To support the al-Ahli Arab Hospital during this time of crisis, please donate online to our Gaza Hospital Emergency Appeal. You can also donate by phone at 416-822-9083 (or leave a message toll-free at 1-866-308-7973 and we will return your call) or by mail.   4. Online Workshop: A Habit of Learning. Saturday, Nov 18, 10am to 11am
    How can we foster a habit of learning in our congregations which is consistent, healthy, and intentional?  Whether you already have a busy learning program, a small but regular study group, occasional studies, or no learning programs at all, a habit of learning can develop and grow.
    All are welcome to attend, whether lay or ordained, especially if you have responsibility for learning initiatives in your parish.  Please register by emailing the

  5. The Essex Deanery Lay Leadership Training Classes:  Lay leadership courses for 2023
    November 18 - How to write a sermon (4 pages of the Sermon plus other resources) 
    These classes will be held in person at Canterbury College.  We have partnered with Canterbury College for the Lay Readers courses and they are providing us with the technology support to also bring the classes by zoom.  Please join us for one or for all of the classes.  Please contact Rev. St. Paul’s Church, in Port Dover are celebrating our annual Christmas Tree Lighting community event on Friday December 8 at 6:30 p.m.  The evening that will be at the front entrance of the church will not only be highlighting the turning on of the lights but also featuring a singalong of old-fashioned carols lead by our church musicians.  Everyone is invited to join in the festivities and enjoy our delicious hot chocolate and freshly baked homemade cookies.

  • The Church of the Holy Saviour in Waterloo, Ontario seeks a person with experience or familiarity with traditional Anglican choral and keyboard music leadership.
    The congregation is vibrant and growing. The sanctuary has a well-maintained 1987 Casavant Pipe Organ (2 manuals, 18 stops). The Chancel Choir (singing weekly) has 22 SATB voices. With one rehearsal midweek, one before the service, and one main Sunday service (alternating Book of Alternative Services and Book of Common Prayer), monthly evensong, special services, in addition to overseeing the Choral Scholar program, see to the maintenance of the organ and piano, and weekly meetings with clergy leadership, it is estimated that this part-time position will demand 15-17 hours a week.
    The appointee will be expected to meet annually with the rector to evaluate past achievements and explore a vision for the future. Vacation is provided, and a benefits package is optional.
