St. Paul’s Cathedral will celebrate its first worship service in the church since mid-November 2016 on Sunday, May 14, at 10:00am.
The Cathedral reopens after six months of structural repairs. While the Cathedral is safe for people to gather, the aesthetic work and other repairs due to the water infiltration still need to be done so the fundraising efforts will be ongoing, says media release issued by the Cathedral on Saturday.
The service on May 14 will be an opportunity to thank The Right Rev. Barry Clarke for his ministry as rector of St. Paul’s. On May 15, the Cathedral will welcome its new rector, The Venerable Paul Millward.
For 185 years, St. Paul’s Cathedral – the oldest church in London, Ontario – has served as a gathering place for celebration, sanctuary, artistic expression, outreach and worship.
