Rt. Rev. Linda Nicholls, the 13th Bishop of Huron

blindaThe Right Reverend Linda Nicholls begins her service as the 13th Bishop of Huron on November 1, 2016.

Bishop Linda will be officially welcomed and seated in the cathedra at St. Paul’s, London, Ontario, on November 26.

The Right Reverend Nicholls was elected Coadjutor Bishop of Huron in February 2016. As Coadjutor Bishop, she has automatically become the 13th Bishop of Huron after the retirement of the Right Reverend Bishop Robert Bennett, the 12th Bishop of Huron, on November 1. She is the first woman bishop in Huron and also the first bishop from outside the diocese since 1931.

Bishop Linda started her service as deacon on November 3, 1985. A year later she was ordained a priest and on February 2, 2008, she was consecrated Bishop Suffragan for the Diocese of Toronto.
