Confirmation service at All Saints, Waterloo

By Jack Hodge

For her second Deanery Confirmation service since becoming Coadjutor Bishop of the Diocese of Huron, Bishop Linda Nicholls found herself at All Saints Church, Waterloo on June 5th.

There, with Rev. Marty Levesque of All Saints as event host, it was standing room only as a total of 40 confirmands, their sponsors and clergy and a host of family supporters were present to witness the ceremony, and welcomed the new Anglicans into the family of Christ with sustained applause and joyous singing.

The 40 confirmands, both adults and youth, represented the following churches: Christ Church, Ayr; Holy Trinity, Kitchener; St. George’s, Forest Hill; St. George’s, New Hamburg; St. John’s, Cambridge; St. James’s, Cambridge; and St. Columba, Waterloo.

“It’s paparazzi time,” said Bishop Linda as she and the host of new Anglicans massed for family pictures to mark the happy occasion of their confirmation at All Saints Church, Waterloo.
