A Windsor crucifer heading for the NCAA

By Rev. Canon Sue Paulton

Dominic Johnson, a crucifer at the Church of St. David and St. Mark in Windsor, received a full athletic scholarship and will be playing football at Buffalo University.

The 17-year-old Johnson was the lone area football player to sign an NCAA national letter of intent in February as he accepted a full-ride scholarship to State University of New York at Buffalo.

Dominic has been the crucifer at The Church of St. David and St. Mark since he entered high school and has rarely missed a Sunday Service year round since coming to the church in the Autumn of 2012.

Dominic and three of his brothers were confirmed by Bishop Bob last spring.

This young man is a humble, kind and generous person who walks the way of Christ in his dealings with family, friends, fellow students and athletes.
