The Bishop of Huron’s Announcements

bcrest1. The Consecration and Seating of the Reverend Canon Dr. Todd Townshend as the Fourteenth Bishop of Huron will take place on Saturday, January 25 at the Cathedral Church of St Paul.  The time is still to be determined.  Clergy are invited to vest, the colour being white.

It is customary for a diocese to take up a collection to assist a new bishop in obtaining the new vestments and other accoutrements needed by a bishop.  If you would like to contribute,  please send a cheque made out to the Diocese of Huron with ‘Bishop-elect Townshend’ on the memo line.

2. Archbishop Johnson announces that Ms. Shirley Doney will be ordained a Deacon at a service of Ordination to be held on the Feast of the Saint Andrew the Apostle, Saturday, November 30 at 1:30pm at the Cathedral Church of Saint Paul, London.  Clergy are invited to vest, the colour being red.

Upon ordination Shirley will be titled Deacon with Special Responsibility for Outreach, Church of the Epiphany, Woodstock.

3. Archbishop Johnson announces that the Reverend Hana Scorrar will be ordained a Priest at a service of Ordination to be held on the Commemoration of Clement of Alexandria, Thursday, December 5 at 7pm at St. James (Westminster), London. Clergy are invited to vest, the colour being red.

4. On behalf of Archbishop Johnson, the Venerable Megan Collings-Moore will induct The Reverend Stephen Greene as the rector of St. Thomas the Apostle Church and St. Luke’s Church, both in Cambridge, at 4pm on the Reign of Christ, Sunday, November 24th at St. Thomas’, 110 Francis St, Cambridge.

Canon Dr. Timothy Connor will be the preacher.  Clergy are invited the vest, the colour being white. A reception will follow the service.
