The Bishop of Huron’s Announcements

bcrest1. The Consecration and Seating of the Reverend Canon Dr. Todd Townshend as the Fourteenth Bishop of Huron will take place on Saturday, January 25 at the Cathedral Church of St Paul.  The time is still to be determined.  Clergy are invited to vest, the colour being white.

It is customary for a diocese to take up a collection to assist a new bishop in obtaining the new vestments and other accoutrements needed by a bishop.  If you would like to contribute,  please send a cheque made out to the Diocese of Huron with ‘Bishop-elect Townshend’ on the memo line.

2. Archbishop Johnson appoints The Revered Canon Valerie Kenyon as the Regional Dean of London effective January 1, 2020.

3. On behalf of the Diocesan Administrator,  Archbishop Colin Johnson, Bishop Robert Bennett will deconsecrate the Church of St. Luke, 13 Edison Drive, Vienna on the Baptism of our Lord, Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 2 p.m.  Clergy are invited to vest, the colour being white.

4. On behalf of the Diocesan Administrator, Archbishop Colin Johnson, Bishop Barry Clarke will officiate at the deconsecration of Trinity Church, 55 Southwick St., St. Thomas on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 2 p.m.  Clergy are invited to vest, the colour being white.

5. The final service at St. Luke’s, Crumlin Road (London) will be Sunday, December 29, 2019 at 11 a.m.
